In the Suzuki philosophy the idea of partnership between parents and the teacher plays a very important role. Parents are expected to attend their children’s lessons and serve as “home teachers”.

Despite of parental involvement at pracitising at home, parents do not need to be pianists and are not required to read musical notation.

Agnes always makes sure, that children and parents both understand home assignments.

She also teaches parents how to help and what to pay attention to at home. Parents can also have a free piano lesson.

Agnes currently works with home schooler students affiliated with Vision Charter School in Contra Costa and is looking forward to build a working relationship with other charter schools assisting home schoolers in the area as well.
